About Rochelle

Hi! My name is Rochelle (she/her), and I believe in you and your ability to give birth! You know what is right for you and your family, and your intuition is a super power that deserves to be trusted and listened to. I really love that I get to do this work, and it is such an honor to support folks during these intimate and sacred times in their lives.

I became a doula because I was inspired by others in this life, and felt called to birth work after I had my own birth experiences. I had the sweetest and most wonderful nurse who sat with me, face to face, as I labored sitting on the toilet (if you know, you know and if you don’t, the toilet can be a really great labor spot), and her presence and kindness were everything in that moment. I love birth and the magic of the human body, and it feels really special to get to help folks feel safe, cared about, advocated for, supported, comforted and heard while going through this journey.

Outside of my doula work, I am an aerial dance teacher, hospice volunteer, and I do accounting. I love to move to my body, dance, go on long walks, sing songs with my friends, and take yoga classes. I also enjoy playing my ukulele, guitar and other musical instruments with my family (we love a good jam sesh). My family consists of three amazing kids, the most supportive and loving partner anyone could ever ask for, two giant dogs and two super cool cats.
